Canon 60D for Video Production

13 Nov

Visit thepodcastersstudio.com for a complete list of all the gear used in this video. This was shot in response to a viewer who wanted to know more about the Canon 60D. I decided to give this brief overview of the reasons I chose this camera for my video productions. My first DSLR was a Canon T2i. When I found that I needed more control over my camera and I had determined that I would stick with DLSR’s for shooting video, I decided the Canon 60D had all the features I needed. At the time of purchase, the 60D was the only camera with a swivel screen. When producing video, you often times need to place the camera in a postition (high or low) that does not lend itself very well to viewing the LCD screen. The swivel screen allows you to view the camera from any angle. A standard option on traditional ENG video cameras. My other primary motivation for purchasing the 60D was for the manual audio controls. This is essential for producing clean, quality audio. I still use an Zoom H4n in conjunction with this cam but having manual audio controls allows me, most times, to capture audio that is clean enough to be used straight out of the camera saving some time in post production. Other features that led me toward the Canon 60D were the larger selection of ISO’s, manual color temperature control (Kelvins), digital level, live histogram, dial controls and the larger form factor. T3i Canon 60D Movie (Cinematic Film Look) – Online Degree in Video Production

www.producemusicvideos.com Cheaper Than An Online Degree in Video Production and Media This is random footage I shot of my sleepy annoyed son Taylin, I primarily worked on making sure the exposure was correct, lighting, was subtle and various angles for variety. I used memorizing music and colorful melodies to add variety to the shots so they wont be static and boring images. The tools I used was as follows T2i Canon Rokinon 85mm 1.8 Sigma 28mm 1.8 Cinema Picture Style Color Correction Color Grading in After Effects www.producemusicvideos.com The Sigma 28 1.8 is around 0.00 and the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 is around 0.00, but I recommend the? Canon 85mm 1.8 over the Rokinon 85mm 1.4 for around 0.00 on Ebay, it’s worth it, I did a comparison and it’s very well worth the extra .00 bucks, your images will come out looking like magic! If you’re a newbie, you’ll be interested in my up coming tutorial bundle, teaching you everything you would ever need to know about DSLR video profession (It’s like a literal online degree….I will keep you posted. Photo Post Production Workflow

01 Nov

This video demonstrates my workflow for enhancing images during post production. I used Adobe Lightroom, Portrait Professional, and Adobe Photoshop in this video. The video is 5x faster than the actual editing speed. A before and after look is located at the end of the video. Lightroom achieves the basic image adjustments, such as white balance, contrast, and other overall effects. Portrait Professional is used mainly to smooth skin and hair. Adobe Photoshop is used to clean up some blemishes and unwanted shadows. I also applied a bokeh effect to the bottom left corner.

Grampy: Christmas Comes But Once A Year (1936) Max Fleischer Production

19 Oct

Max Fleischer’s Color Classics DVD Set! ? amzn.to XmasFLIX.com ? Like XmasFLIX! ? http Xmas MP3 ? XmasTRAX.com ? Podcast ? http An animated short produced by Fleischer Studios and released on December 4, 1936. You are viewing actual film in this video, with all it’s wonderful imperfections, however, I highly recommend getting the DVD boxed set called “Max Fleischer’s Color Classics: Somewhere in Dreamland” ? amzn.to The short begins in an orphanage, where the orphans are all asleep, awaiting Christmas morning. Just then, the puppy from the clock slides down a ramp and licks on one of the orphans. The first orphan shouts, “Merry Christmas, everybody!” And all the orphans jump out of bed and head to the hall, singing the title song. They grab the toys from their stockings, and get ready to play with them. However, they are sad to discover that the toys are completely broken and fall apart when they are played with. The orphans can’t help but cry. Meanwhile, Professor Grampy is out riding through the snow in his motor-driven sleigh, singing the title song himself. He hears the orphans crying from inside the orphanage, and he parks the sleigh, runs to the door, peeps through the window, and tries to think of a way to give the orphans a better Christmas. He puts on his thinking cap, and shortly, the lightbulb on the cap blinks. Apparently, he has an idea. He climbs through the window and starts making new toys out of household appliances. Finally, he dresses up as Santa
