Keep a Firefox window on top of other windows with the “Always on Top” extension.

Do you keep a lot of other windows open while browsing the web such as a word processor, spreadsheet, or e-mail client? If so, these might cover up the Mozilla Firefox window, something you do not want if the browser is constantly reloading data such as a Twitter feed.

With the “Always on Top” extension you can force the Firefox window to stay visible above other windows. Plus, the extension is window-sensitive; if you have multiple Firefox windows open you can make one or two of them appear always on top of other windows, even other Firefox windows. …

Olympus to ship E-5 digital SLR from October 29

Olympus has announced that its E-5 digital SLR will start shipping from October 29 at a suggested retail price of 00. Announced at Photokina 2010, the weather-sealed camera offers a 12MP Live MOS sensor, 920k dot 3.0" articulated LCD, Live View with Contrast AF, HD video recording and shutter speeds of up to 1/8000th sec. In addition, the company will start shipping its  M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm 1:4.0-5.6 Micro Four Thirds zoom lens from October 29 as well at a suggested retail price of  ¥47500 (~ 0).

Panasonic to ship AG-AF100 from December

16 Oct

Panasonic has announced its AG-AF100 series professional Micro Four Thirds HD camcorder will be available from December 27 at a suggested retail price of 95. Announced in May 2010, the camcorder is capable of recording full 1080p HD videos at frame rates from 12 to 60 fps. It includes HD SDI and XLR connectors, twin SDXC slots and is compatible with the company’s line up of Lumix G lenses, filters and adapters.

Icons From File is a Windows application that can help you obtain icons stored inside executables and other files. Icons can be saved as standard .ICO files, or may be saved in other graphics formats such as .BMP, .EMF, or .JPG.

Multiple icons may be exported to an HTML document or Dbase 5 file (DBF). Icons can also be copied to the clipboard or printed. Plus, the software can be run from the command line for batch file or automated icon extraction. …
