Homemade time-lapse intervalometer for Nikon D70, Test#1 Clouds over Derby 2012.

15 Dec

I will soon be selling my time-lapse intervalometers on ebay once I’m happy with my final design. Anyone interested in buying one let me know. This is test video #1 of my home made time-lapse intervalometer for the Nikon D70 Camera. This short clip is made from 1168 photographs which were captured at 10 second intervals and then sequenced to play back at 25 frames per second. The photographs were taken at 3008×2000 pixels in full Automode. It should work with the following cameras : NIKON D40, D40X, D50, D60, D70, D70S, D80, D90, D3000, D5000, F55, F65, F75, N65, N75, Coolpix 8400, 8800, Pronea S, Nuvis S & Lite Touch Zoom. This footage was filmed out of my upstairs window looking towards Mickleover. Thanks Andy derbyphotoscouk.blogspot.co.uk

With his second essay on the subject to appear on this site Peter van den Hammer gives us an in-depth look at how to interpret what DxOMark Camera Sensor means.

Happy Holidays!

Sculpture In Context 2012 at the National Botanic Gardens, Glasnevin, Dublin 9.
6th September to 19th October 2012

Sculpture in Context continues to build on 26 years of experience in organising successful exhibitions. It has, over the years staged highly acclaimed visual arts events at venues such as Fernhill Gardens, the Conrad Hotel, Kilmainham Gaol, the Irish Management Institute, Dublin Castle, Farmleigh House and the National Botanic Gardens.

The gardens are not only a botanical haven, and a quiet oasis on the outskirts of a modern European City, they also offer a challenging venue which gives the artist the rare opportunity of realising large scale work. It also gives the visitor an opportunity to ramble and explore, sometimes finding sculptures in the most unusual places. The sculptures are displayed throughout the gardens, ponds, Great Palm House, and Curvilinear Range, with the smaller works exhibited in the gallery above the visitors’ centre.

Lounge music 2012

Lounge music 2012 Hiatus | j.mp | bit.ly | fb.me | Hiatus – Panda Lounge Mix Show – Exclusively for the Panda Lounge Mix Show on YouTube ============== www.facebook.com www.twitter.com ============== Panda launches the first installment of his new Lounge Mix Show on YouTube with special guest Hiatus. Hailing from Brixton, UK with an Iranian heritage, Hiatus’ musical start began when he learnt to play the piano at the age of five. At university, Hiatus played keyboard in a band called Holy Smoke and then quickly moved on, getting into dance music and actually started to DJ drum and bass – another reason for having him on the show of course 😉 Hiatus self-describes his music as a type of cinematic electronica. It has heavy ambient and chill out influences but luckily does not fall back in to the cliché sounds of lounge. In fact, most of his tracks have a rather deep melodramatic and dark atmosphere about them. Hiatus’ work also has a distinct Middle Eastern tint to it and that’s for a reason: he travels back to Iran every year to look for records to bring back and sample those in his music. Last year after hearing her sing in a live show, Hiatus started working with Shura, a singer from London, who he now delivered masterpieces with such as “Fortune’s Fool” and “River”, both featuring in this mix and coming out on October, 10th, 2011. They are now doing live performances together and working actively on new tracks. In this mix, Hiatus bring us 14 of his and latest tracks
