NAB 2009 – Innovations in post production workflows with creative tools (2 of 2)

www.avid.com?cmpid=youtube Running throughout the three exhibit days of NAB 2009 was our main stage presentation “Creative Tools”. With help from Big Picture Post we demonstrated RED, XDCAM HD and P2 workflows, 3D stereoscopy and ICON surround sound mixing in post production workflows.

For best viewing, watch the video in 480p and fullscreen modes. Tosee the images in 3D, hold your head up straight (very important or the two images won’t line up properly), look at the vertical center line and cross your eyes. The 3D image will appear in the center. If you don’t see the 3D picture right away, keep trying, it takes a bit of practice. Sorry if the music is annoying. I don’t know whether or not aliens exist, and if they do exist, whether or not they listen to music. If aliens do exist, and they do listen to music, maybe it sounds something like this. Probably not, but who knows? Someone in Roswell, perhaps.

3D Kyoto Higashiyama Flower Lantern Road Festival 2009 (Anaglyph version)

Stereoscopic HD video of anaglyph format on The Flower lantern Road Festival held every March in Kyoto Higashiyama District. 2400 Lanterns of both traditional and modern are arranged along with the streets 4.8 km long. Laser and LED lights are also used to illuminate the gardens and buildings of historic temples. Shot with homemade stereoscopic video rig attatched with DOF adapters consisting of 50mm/F1.4 DLR Lenses and Ee-A focusing screen in front of HC3 HDV cameras. Rig photos: v-galleries.com

Erotic Embroidery is an exhibit that dwells in parallel realities: One, obvious and apparent in the beautiful first reading of his digital embroideries. Another, subject to a state of contemplation nothing short of mystical. Morales embroideries ask the viewer to wilfully enter into a distinct state of consciousness, where his 3D scenes take over and convey what goes on in the intimacy of a house. Virtual sculptures of embracing couples, sharing one of our most ancient wants as humans: sex.

Filmed, Engineered & Edited by Rich Lewis and Produced by both Rich Lewis and Alexandra the Romanian Bellydancer, here is our first bellydance 3d Anaglyph Video! This might be the first video if its kind on Youtube! You need the old school red/cyan type 3d glasses to view this video in its 3d glory 🙂 It will look a bit weird if you view it without them.
