Art Under the Bridge is an opportunity for young artists to use any medium imaginable to create temporary projects on-the-spot everywhere and anywhere, completely transforming the Dumbo section of Brooklyn, New York, into a vibrant platform for self-expression. In addition to the 80+ projects throughout the historical post-industrial waterfront span, visitors can tour local artists’ studios or check out the indoor video_dumbo, a non-stop program of cutting-edge video art from New York City and around the world.
The Dumbo Arts Center (DAC) has been the exclusive producer of the D.U.M.B.O Art Under the Bridge Festival® since 1997. DAC is a big impact, small non-profit, that in addition to its year-round gallery exhibitions, is committed to preserving Dumbo as a site in New York City where emerging visual artists can experiment in the public domain, while having unprecedented freedom and access to normally off-limit locations.

Next part: www.youtube.com Whole concert: www.youtube.com Oxygène: New Master Recording, also known as Oxygène New Master Recording 2007 and Oxygène (New Master Recording), is a new recording of an album by Jean Michel Jarre released in 2007, on the 30th anniversary of the worldwide release of his album Oxygène, and is Jarre’s fourteenth studio album. The album was released in three different editions: a 5.1 Music Disc edition featuring the new digital master recording of Oxygène, a CD and 2D DVD special edition featuring Oxygène — Live In Your Living Room DVD (an exclusive private live performance of Oxygène, filmed in Lint, Belgium), and a limited edition CD + 3D DVD featuring Oxygène — Live in Your Living Room DVD in stereoscopic 3D High-Definition, which also includes two pairs of 3D glasses. To promote this major release, Jean Michel Jarre performed a series of 10 Oxygène Live concerts in Paris, inside the Theatre Marigny, from December 12 to December 26, 2007. Jarre performed new 90 minute live performances of Oxygène, complete with new tracks, using only vintage synthesizers and assisted on stage by French musicians Francis Rimbert, Claude Samard and Dominique Perrier. Samsung publishes Galaxy Camera kernel code – opening door to developers
Samsung has publicly released the kernel code for its Android-based Galaxy Camera, as it regularly does for its smartphones.The kernel is the core of the operating system including software that controls the hardware. In the short term, independent developers are discussing using the code to enable phone calls from the device but, beyond this, a publicly available kernel gives developers and hackers a greater insight into the Galaxy Camera’s workings than we’ve ever seen for a camera.

The Charge Cycle: Bike-Powered Public Phone Charging Station

Soon, you’ll be able to charge your iPhone at strategic locations around New York City – but you’ll have to put in a little leg work. The Charge Cycle is a stationary bike equipped with an iPhone dock, so users can charge their phones with the power of their own muscles, without plugging into the grid.
The Kickstarter-based project by David Krawczyk and Navjot Kaur aims to get at least 30 of these bikes out into the city where anyone can use them by early May 2013. Prototypes have already been placed around New York in locations like Washington Square Park, Zuccotti Park and Brooklyn Bridge Park.
The bike is equipped with micro-USB, 30-pin and 8-pin adapters, so virtually anyone can charge their phones. It takes about the same amount of time cycling as it does plugging into a wall charger to charge up a phone, since most phones have built-in charge limiting functions to prevent overheating. The Charge Cycle will be free for public use.
To use it, you attach your phone to an adapter ad secure it to the bike with a silicone band. A 10-segment LED display bar tells you how much charge you’ve accumulated as you pedal. The basket in the front holds your belongings as you ‘ride’. Watch the video above to see it in action.
