This is an experimental 2d to 3d conversion of I’ll B Yours by The Raw I’s (a music video of mine) from a few years back. The style of the video itself doesn’t really lend itself to this subtle conversion but I thought I’d share it anyway. 3D stereoscopic anaglyph night time lapse movie showing a complete night at the Very Large Telescope (VLT) Paranal Observatory in Chile. The four 8m telescope and four 1.8m telescope are observing at the same time. Note that the ISS (International Space Station)is corssing the sky during the first seconds of the movie. This movie has to be watched with a red (left)/Cyan (right) pair of glasses for 3D effects. The camera presented here is a setup of two HD JVC camcorders, mounted side by side so they record stereoscopic material. The video also shows different glasses, which are needed to view the stereoscopic youtube videos.

Black Hole -from Einstein to Hawking- a journey through time and space in Stereo 3D by 21Horizon

This short animation takes as a starting point a technical drawing by Einstein. This clip is in stereoscopic 3D. See www.3dbritain.co.uk for more about Stereo 3D. His little sketch already contains all essential ideas about black hole physics which are later elaborated by Hawking and Penrose. The clip begins with a technical letter by Einstein sent to a fellow scientist. This part of the clip has no stereo depth. I then develop Einstein’s ideas of space and time as expressed in the letter. The technical drawing transforms into Schwarzschild spacetime displayed in stereoscopic 3D. Computer animated movie of a rotating four-dimensional hypercube, perspectively projected into 3D as stereoscopic left and right images, to be viewed cross-eyed. The computer animation was performed at Bell Labs in the mid 1960s. This is one the first stereoscopic digital computer animations. The image quality became degraded during the process in which the original 16-mm film was digitized.
