This is the 1-skeleton of the 120-cell polytope (4D analogue of the dodecahedron) rigidly rotating in 4D. The apparent distortion is an artifact of the projection to 3D from a higher dimension. To view this video properly, use red/blue 3D anaglyph glasses, red filter over left eye, blue filter over right. knotplot.com

Direct link to HD Video www.youtube.com Test of stereoscopic wide angle HD video with twin GoPro HD video camera. Angle of View is 170 deg. for the 720P-60fps mode used for this particular video. Stereo base was about 30mm. No lens distortion correction. Reduction of stereo base for closed-up stereoscopic shot in half mirror type beam splitter type equipment is very difficult task because huge mirror is required for wide angle lenses. With flipping configuration of twin GoPro HD camera stereo base of 30 mm can be realized. This is a preliminary close-up video using 30 mm stereobase twin GoPro HD video camera for my dear Persian cat, Alice. Photos of twin Gopro 3D rigs are shown at; v-galleries.com

Gross Nonlinear Disparity Mapping for Stereoscopic 3D To appear: Proceedings of ACM SIGGRAPH (Los Angeles, USA, July 25-29, 2010), ACM Transactions on Graphics, vol. 29, no. 3 This paper addresses the problem of remapping the disparity range of stereoscopic images and video. Such operations are highly important for a variety of issues arising from the production, live broadcast, and consumption of 3D content. Our work is motivated by the observation that the displayed depth and the resulting 3D viewing experience are dictated by a complex combination of perceptual, technological, and artistic constraints. We first discuss the most important perceptual aspects of stereo vision and their implications for stereoscopic content creation. We then formalize these insights into a set of basic disparity mapping operators. These operators enable us to control and retarget the depth of a stereoscopic scene in a nonlinear and locally adaptive fashion. To implement our operators, we propose a new strategy based on stereoscopic warping of the input video streams. From a sparse set of stereo correspondences, our algorithm computes disparity- and image-based saliency estimates, and uses them to compute a deformation of the input views so as to meet the target disparities. Our approach represents a practical solution for actual stereo production and display that does not require camera calibration, accurate dense depth maps …

A test projecting an anaglyph 3D image using a projector,IZ3D anaglyph driver, Track IR, and FSX. Image is 5 long by 3 feet tall. User sits about 3.5 to 4 feet from screen. Using zoom an approximate life size image of the cockpit of the AH-1 Super Cobra by Alphasim was generated. You will need a pair of red/cyan glasses to see the 3D effect in the video. The yellow/blue option is preferred over red/cyan due to a more comfortable viewing experience and most of the color is not lost. The effect is roughly the same in yellow/blue and it is in red/cyan, but with significantly less eyestrain.
