12 Jul

This is my demo of 3d video production. I am testing how well (or bad) does it fare uploading it in you tube. I downconverted it from HD 720p to DivX 320 x 240, using the “slow” option Also try the video “3d video de paralax / CrossEyes” which uses the new experimental 3d video player from youtube.

Elevation 3-D ( yt3d:enable=true )

11 Jul

Director Statement As a filmmaker at the forefront of the emerging 3-DIY (Do-it-yourself 3-D) movement, I am striving to bring stereoscopic 3-D to independent micro-budget filmmaking, and show that that the addition of depth is both technically possible and affordable. I made this short to demonstrate that stereoscopic 3-D is more than simply a gimmick. Just like color and sound, the language of depth can be used as a storytelling tool – one more part of the grammar of cinema. Production Notes “Making Elevation” Elevation was produced as a sketchbook assignment through Filmmakers Alliance, a cinema collective based in Los Angeles, and had to follow the following rules: Make a film that is 3 minutes long, has only one line of dialog, uses primary colors, and includes a gun, a religious symbol, and underwear. It was shot on a twinned pair of Canon TX-1 point-and-shoot consumer cameras, using a firmware hack to provide stereoscopic synchronization tools. The post production pipeline consisted of the freeware program Stereo Movie Maker, which was used for alignment and parallax convergence adjustments, and Adobe Premiere which was used for picture and sound editing. The entire project was completed in less than 48 hours – the 3 hour shoot took place on the evening of Wednesday, July 1, 2009, and post production was finished by Friday afternoon, July 3.

How To Make 3D Anaglyph Pictures In PhotoShop

10 Jul

Look at the Description first. Anyways if the whole picture is 3D, even the background the 3D effect will go away. It’ll work if you have 2 angles…But this is for pictures on the internet…anyways here’s the step on the basic layout… 3D Steps 1.Open the file! 2.Duplicate it. 3.Make 2 new layers. 4.Fill it both with the blue Color info: RGB: R-000 G-255 B-255 4b.Click 1 blue layer, press Ctrl +I to make it red. 5.Move red on top of original. 6.Change fills into screen mode. 7.Shift click blue+copy (duplicated) layer 7b.Merge layer (Ctrl+E) 8.Change layer 2 (Merged) to multiply mode Now it should be ready to edit. 1.Use the laso tool to bring out what you want to stand out. 2.Use the Move tool. 2b.The more you nudge to the right the closer it is to you. 3.If you nudge alot then there might be the distracting red to the left (bad) 3b.With the selection press Ctrl+I 3c.Only look at the blue merged layer 3d.Color in the transparancy with blue. 4.(view layers) 5.done, thats it! If you want to make a new 3D Anaglyph picture in PhotoShop then you might want to download the Action file. What it does is set the ground for 3D editing. Just load it and press play. After that just use the lasso tool to bring out what you want to stand out in the 3D picture. Here’s the link to download the action file. Also make sure you have the cyan color before you play the action file. rapidshare.com (mirror v) rapidshare.com Here’s the link to the 3D pics I made in the photoshop. s250

Stereoscope T-Rex – 3D Glasses Not Required (cross-eye)

07 Jul

To view the images in 3D, hold your head up straight (very important or the two images won’t line up properly), then cross your eyes and move slowly toward and away from the screen until the 3D picture appears in the center. Or, you can cross your eyes more or less in order to get the images to line up properly. Like Magic Eye pictures, it takes a little bit of practice to get the hang of it, but once you do, it’s pretty easy to see. Spanish Guitar by GlassFree3D

MC Escher’s Relativity w/ Anaglyph 3D

06 Jul

uni3d.com – 1080HD Video, high res stills, and 3d model available to download – This is MC Escher’s drawing Relativity recreated shown in 3d and in stereoscopic anaglyph 3D. I was playing with Maya 2009’s stereo camera rig and was trying to find something interesting but not so much gimmicky effects to try it with. There is nothing I’d love to see in 3d more than this infamous place, and having already modeled it years before made it the perfect testing ground. The scene was modeled/textured in Maya 7, and was updated and rendered in Maya 2009. 1080HD Video, original 4K poster render and desktop BG images, etc. – home.comcast.net The 3d model shown in the video is available to download in multiple formats at the link below. home.comcast.net
