  • 14 November, 2013 – Once Upon a Time in Olympus-Land

The family of Olympus Zuiko High Grade and Super High Grade lenses are among the best zoom lenses ever made. Originally designed for the Four Thirds format, they now have new life and a new home on the just shipping Olympus OM-D E-M1 due to its use of on-chip Phase Detection autofocus as well as Contrast Detection AF.

These lenses are expensive, but for anyone who wants the best possible glass, yet who values the versatility of zooms, there are none finer.

  • 1 November, 2013 – Kevin and Michael’s Toy Shop

A few months ago Michael, Kevin and Chris were part of the instructor team on a Phase One PODAS workshop in the Kimberley Region of Austrailia.  The trip took place on the True North, an amazing expedition ship with an onboard helicopter that allowed us to explore some incredible locations.  While on the cruise we did a number of video interviews as well as a video on the whole trip.  Watch for all of these soon.  In the mean time enjoy a video with Michael and Kevin discussing the gear they brought on the trip. • 25 October, 2015 – PDN PhotoExpo ? Staying Alive

I’ve been attending the Fall photo equipment show in New York for quite a few years. The show’s name changes every now and then, but in a non-photokina year it’s an opportunity to meet with friends and associates in the industry and to take the pulse of what’s happening. This year the theme for the industry seems to be "staying alive", which is also the theme of my included video.
