Do you have the mic set at -10db, 0, or +10db? And what, also, what is the audio setting on the camera?
well its allways better then the mic inside your cam 🙂
is it goof for filming loud bangs or fireworks ????
Oh I see, thanks mate ;)
the hiss is comming from a wrong input setting on my camera evemtually …sorry..
its a cool mic…though it didnt last to long for me….it broke eventually and i still need to buy a new one…guess im going for the rode this time…
Hey, what’t with the white noise? Is it still worth getting the mic?
Hi yeah! that worked great thanks for your help Jacques!! take it easy!
hi there…yes set ur sound input on ur camera to manual and set the input to like 1% or 2% and set the mic to +10 db …
hope this helps..
Jacques
Hi Jacques! thanks for great vid! I noticed you said you had an EOS 600D same as me! did you have to change any setting on board camera? as i seem to be getting some unusual background noise? Thanks.
a dead cat is allways handy to have if ur in verry windy situations…no matter what mic u have..
thx for watching
Jacques
Thanks for info acted upon it plus other stuff I,d received and I am realy
pleased with the results good on you cheers.

Awesome review
oh that cool..imgonna check it out!

You can now get a deadcat wind muff for this on amazon, makes a great difference together with the included wind cap when shooting outside.
yeah..it looks way cooler and sounds the same and is cheaper…no need for compariment..they all the sme in this price line…the diffrence between these two mics will be nihil…
when i did this review i didnt really knew what the best settings were camera/mic…but i know now andits a perfect mic and looks real cool …certainly when you take off the wind cap
Jacques
Can someone do a comparison test between Hahnel MK100 and the RODE video mic ? I’m leaning towards the RODE but I like the MK100 also because it’s more compact and looks cooler 🙂
yep…thx for watching!
oke, dan is dit de beste koop denk ik.
als je het mij vraagt is ie gewoon het zelfde..
You can try that in MS Paint but you can’t do it with bulk pictures which defeats the whole purpose.
I have a very quick question. I have seen many photos signed with people name as “xyz photography”. i don’t have lightroom or Photoshop software. I have seen this video, i’m subscribed to your videos. Can you please let me know how i can achieve this?
Yeah I knew there was more I had used, and yeah picasa is good too for very little tweaking.
+1 for Gimp definitely, but just for basic tuning stuff, the picasa tool has been an awesome choice for me (both for a mac and a windows )
If you don’t want to pay for for high end photo editing software, there is one out there called “Gimp 2.6”. It’s a lot like photoshop but if completely free. though it is a little difficult to get use to it works very well, it is the software I use right now. There is another free program called “Photoscape” that isn’t as difficult to use but has a lot of the same option( but not all the options). It’s more geared for intermediate photographers, but still helps produce great images. Just search
Thats pretty got for basics, can even change temp and tint
If I owned one I would. Sorry! Going forward the tutorials will be on Lightroom which you can purchase for MAC as well.
Can u do a MAC tutorial also please
