Well, Peaveys aren’t that expensive. I bought mine from ebay for cheap. I live in a third world country, been working for $250 a month (now I am jobless, but was able to get the amp after 10 months of saving – food, electricity, etc. were in a way, so I couldn’t get it sooner), so I guess that US people can get the real deal for cheaper (especially Peavey amps) than the rest of us.

I gotta say, Orange, while good, is possible to make a bad sound too. I’ve seen bands go up with Splawn Nitros, Peavey 5150s and many other things and just had a shit sound… I was able to come out with a better tone from a Peavey Ultra 120. It’s all in how you dial it in, and how you play with the amp. Your picking habits help out a lot on tube amps of any type. I’m sure you know that, but I’m just saying you shouldn’t judge by price alone. Just try it out and give a fair judgement.

The answer to your problem is… ebay, or thomann if you like. Every guitar gear you can find for half the price compared to norway. Good luck in the future, and good luck curing your gas :DDD

Man really this orange is not so good, it perfectly suited for blues and hard rock, but not for metal

Ok, to all you assholes who are here talking shit about Bugeras because you have the real thing, there are these people out there called WORKING MUSICIANS, who can’t drop $2,000 on a real Mesa or Peavy. Yes, everyone would rather have the real thing than a knockoff, but if we can get something that sounds in any way comparable for a price we can actually afford, that’s what we are going to go for. Of course the real rectos and 5150’s are better, but we have to also buy this thing called food…

So, other than the price what is your problem with bugera? How many bugera’s have you played through? All you are doing is making yourself look like a twat.

what? are you telling me that the vypir could sound better than my orange ? hahahahahahahahahaah you people make me sick ! that isnt true and you know it! you people wish you had a high budget to get at least one dual rectifier, but guess what sir? that will never happen, no matter how good your technique is, if your amp is shit, YOUR AMP IS SHIT, did you ever seen a professional band using vampyirs live on stage before? hell fucking no

Its about what you can get out of the amp. listen to Ola’s video featuring a Peavey Vypir Modelling amp and say once more you could directly make up the difference between 150 $ and 1500 $.
The musician who uses it is the point, not the amp itself.

As long, as Ola gets through a cheap Amp a better sound than you through a Amp pricing the double or even the tripple…as so long i would be carefull before laughing at those Bugeras. ;o)

I would buy this if it was cheaper, its 6200 NOK in Norway. For 8600 NOK I can get myself a Peavey 6505 head or EVH 5150 mini…
