Medium Format Photography

29 Dec

Using a Hasselblad 500 c/m, I go over some of the basic operation of the camera, and–most importantly–the significance and benefit of medium format film photography. Yes…I said film 🙂 Sorry about the sound quality (wind noise). Weather wasn’t cooperating at all! A second, more complete addition to this video is coming soon.
Video Rating: 4 / 5

I have been getting bad exposure results when i meter from my 5d mark 2…Is it wise to invest on a prism finder? or external light meter

Great Video. I am loving the results from my Pentax 6×7 and Mamiya RB67, my clients love it too. Hasselblad is on the list as well. We’re all on the same mountain. Let’s just shoot.

His website is even better. “Word on the Street” section is rad. I personally recommend Color Me Old School (or something along these lines) post. Enjoy.

You can see in what year your hassy is built by looking at the serial number on the back of your body. Google VHPICTURES to find out. My 500cm is from ’75.

maybe a mamiya 7II would be in order comfort wise in the field, but some people do like taking that type of camera outside

    maybe he has a tripod

It would be interesting to see how a MF camera, especially of a larger film would go against the 200mp ” blad ” digital. Saturated colour film would still hold it’s own I think?

Thanks for the view and the comment. Naturally MF isn’t just hasselblad but the video was about….MEDIUM FORMAT photography. Not strictly about this particular camera. It seems 9 out of 10 youtubers are not happy unless they are critical of something…anything lol. Take care
