i didnt read the past comments so i dont know if this was mentioned. I just want to clarify that the star effect does not have anything to do with the shutter speed. The star effect comes from using a very small apperture, not from using a long shutter speed. the star comes from the light being reflected inside the lens. Since the blades inside the lens are close, leaving a small opening for the light to hit the sensor, the light will reflect and strugle to to through the lens, creating a star.

yes I do, this depends on how good the cameras low light capabilities are and usually the camera has an on board light assist that turns on when its very dark to see the environment and focus on whatever you have the focus point on

well im a beginner as i said, and i watch tutorials on youtube. but none of them really answer my questions.. or maybe they do.. i just dont understand the “camera language” lol… i guess my first question would be.. on a dark enviroment where its hard to view your target, how do i focus? .. is there a science to the distance between you and the subject? like on the lens?… do you understand my question??? .. i hope u did.. lol.. again i dont know the proper terms

It’s like a TRADE SECRET to share what settings people use – freaking ridiculous. That’s what I needed to know. Thanks for being forthright and showing how you did it! So tired of getting books and magazines where they talk about composition and programming, but not what ideal settings for any particular shot. You rock!

The star effect is completely unrelated to your shutter speed! It all depends on your aperture. Just like bokeh doesn’t change with the exposure, only relative to the f-stop.

The correct grammar would be “three 6 mafia WAS my favorite rap group when I made this channel” derrrrrr
