What if I go a high end fan-fret 8?
Still better to have 7? 🙂

I own the VH4 and the Herbert. I haven’t heard the Hagen in person.
Favorite depends on personal preference and TUBES used in power amp. Diezel cleans are better with 6L6s. Crunch is most intense with EL34s. Leads are smoothest with 6L6s. Herbert can mix.
Herbert can get sick heavy. Herbert has a better clean channel with the pickups I use (EMGs and Blackouts).
If I had to choose, I would go Herbert. But the VH4 has a better classic rock channel. VH4 is great for metal riffing too.

Hey Ola, what pickups would you suggest for the Diezel Herbert? I have a Ibanez RG 7421 with a set of DiMarzio Blaze and they sound to muddy. Should I look at some Seymour Duncans?

Hi Ola, how loud you set up the Volume1 to get a good “room tone” and dont brake the glasses in the back?

Great video! It would be cool if for these videos you could also upload one with only the guitar track so those of us with an Axe FX 2 could use tone match!

Just to anyone possibly looking into this amp, little tone trick for you. I’ve found that I don’t really like the Deizel cabinets, so I actually paired my Herbert up with a Bogner 4×12 and I gotta say, GREATEST guitar tone EVER. It sounds a lot like the rhythm guitar tone on Behemoth’s “Evangelion” but with a little bit of a fatter bottom end. But not muddy. Just a bit bigger.

Agile guitars are good, but stay away from licensed Floyds. They’re hard to keep in tune, and are really a pain in the butt.

Herbert has very distinctive tone,I bought one new from open box for 2700 ,and while still liking my Peavey 3120 ,Herbert is a Ferrari of high gain amps .

Ola is a good endorser of Seymour Duncan pickups.
