This is the very first time i took out the Y60 2.8TD, and gave it a try! In this clip the cilinderhead is broken, its pumps air into the cooling system… after 2 hours full power i need to fill it up with a few litre’s of water, fun back then, but knowing now i was going to use it for the next few years… hurts a little 🙂

A friend of mine has, once made you look at it and it´s very simple, seems like it was made that way from the beginning. That solved the low torque at low rpm.

(over da zuipe) da ligt eraan, grote bande, groffe structuur is ideaal voor offroad, maar geeft op de weg wa te veel gas (wa spele) en ge zit rap aan de 15-20l ..
gewoon bandjes, grip geeft ongeveer 10l (da is ongeveer he)

3″ exhaust straight pipe and a K&N intake, and it both performs a lot better and sounds a lot better 🙂
Whooooah! Why does this sound so sweeeeet and sounding supercharged? My GR Y60 2.8TD (1997) sounds ermmm…flat! Crap! I was about to get rid of it but have decided to keep it and spend cash on it and keep it until it blows up. So how come the engine sounds so (as my wife put it) Formula 1 sounding? I need to find a website full of Y60 mods!

de rede waarom ik het vraag is omdat ik toch graag een 4×4 zou willen kopen en naar mijn zin toe komen dan alleen een landcruiser 70 en dit model patrol binnen het budget dus ..
is dit die patrol voordat je hem hebt omgebouwd?

ik kan je wel vertellen dat ze gemiddeld 1 op 9 rijden op de weg
het kan een heel stomme vraag lijken hè
ebt ge ongeveer een idee hoeveel toeren de patrol maakt aan 120 km/h, ni da ge over de 3000 toere moet make want ik heb zo het gevoel dat hij dan zuipt !
(enig idee hoe rap hij tot 100 km/h gaat?)

if u have raised boost and it keeps blowing get the deck wired/fire ringed.

Its a complete stock engine, the fuel-pump is a little tweaked.

maybe BiTurbo system? one small turbo for low rpm and second bigger for high rpm?
