There is much debate amongst photographers, amateurs and professionals alike, as to which format is better to shoot with. Well, this choice is very subjective and is based upon what you’re shooting. Consideration must be given to the amount of post production work you’ll be doing, as well as the venue. There are plenty of scenarios that call for JPEG and there are some that demand RAW. Ultimately, you’ll have to decided if you have the computing power and storage to go ballistic and shoot RAW for everything. I hope to provide some clarity on what these two sides are constantly battling over. Thanks for watching!

i feel like it would be wrong to watch this video and not comment on how amazing you are at guitar. I now hate myself, and am going to give up playing because i’m just not worthy. Great cover of a great band!

Ok, so the bend you did during the sweep portion on 22nd fret to reach that 23rd fret that you “dont have” and making it seem effortless made me just sell all my guitars do to my lack of being worthy……phenominal playing man!

December 17, 2012 at 3:43 am
hey kev, I literally learned the bass part by ear 15 mins before I tracked this on a whim (3 listen throughs), so I don’t have any tab. Also, I tuned my 5 string’d bass up a step on each string, so it’s not the quite the same tuning as the guitars.
Just look at the tab, tune your bass to the guitars, and use your ear for the rest. There’s barely anything to the bass part, as you can see.

Hey there, have you come across “Photo SFXart Tricks” (do a Google search for it)? There you can watch a smart free video featuring the right way to take amazing photos. This made it easier for Joe to take photographs which leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect after you look at them. Perhaps it will help you out also.

“Real world” reasons why one wouldn’t want to shoot RAW, such as email account considerations when storing or sending them, or not having the budget for a camera that’ll give you a fast FPS rate when shooting RAW so you can take action shots, & the fact that I.Q from smartphone cams & even compact P&S’s are getting better all the time. OTOH, storage is cheaper than ever & RAW edit programs are available for free. Why settle for a 50-80% info-gutted JPEG if you don’t have to?

Funny, if you really knew me you would have answered that question! LOL I pretty much pushed my way in. By this I mean, I really got in peoples faces (respectively) and asked if I could shoot their event, take their portrait and through support of friends that introduced me to other people. I found a certaine niche that I enjoyed and pursued that…fashion and music! Networking is HUGE, so don’t be afraid to talk to people! What’s the worse that can happen? No…big deal! Thank you!

Pretty nice video! And that video in the middle comparing JPEG to RAW was instructive. I didn’t really know how much of a difference it can make.
I have a question. How did you get into shooting photos professionally? I’d like to get into that, but I don’t really know where to begin. For example, how can you get your photo bought by a magazine (or does a magazine send you on specific shoots)? There’s lots I’d like to know.
