Seeing the effects of aging beginning to take their toll on my own father, even as he continues to work himself harder and harder still than he had even worked before…this song makes me recognize that looking at what’s happening to him and around him…it frightens me. Mortality is scary to think about.

I feel like almost everything he does is serious … he just doesn’t make it feel so serious. There’s an interview of him basically explaining how his master plan is to use humor and impressive rap to trick people into listening to his existential poetry.
