The programs we will use don’t support camcorder supported dv-avi. 3. Get VirtualDub, and be mindful where you place it on the hard drive. www.virtualdub.org 4. Get AviSynth. avisynth.org 5. Get the Interlaced RGB 0.3 plug-in, and put the files in the plug-in directory of VirtualDub. www.softpedia.com 6. Write your AviSynth script in notepad, and save with the .avs extension. 7. Open the .avs file in VirtualDub, and resize the video windows as needed. 8. Set your Virtual Dub filters – deinterlace, interlaced RGB (RGB2y), interlace RGB (Set Colors), Resize 9. Using the huffyuv compression, save as AVI. 10. Export the newly saved AVI to desired destination using other programs (ie H.264 for youtube, or mpg2 for DVD).
