Live from 2009 @ Broder Tuck in Stockholm. Birdflesh made a really great concert. I filmed this with a Nikon D3S camera. Lenses used was NIKKOR 14-24 and 50mm 1,4. The sound kinda sucked, so I added an mp3 track from their CD The Farmers Wrath. The band has approved of this.

Strange indeed, I have the exact same camera and in my footage there is absolutely NO moire and aliasing. I’s hard to believe this footage is from the D5200.

but you get more details in the d800, but finally is all about the consumer and what camera works better for him 🙂

Looks like it’s too much sharpened. I have this same camera and have better results.

kann es sein, dass hier mit “digitaler Schärfe” gefilmt wurde? oder ist das bei dieser Kamera evtl überhaupt nicht ausschaltbar?

How is the auto-focus on moving objects? When filming with the D5100 you had a very inconsistent focus as the system wasnt responsive enough to stay perfectly focused, so I wonder if the 39-AF points solve thath

Still use same LCD, but it is very useful for composing images from a wide variety of angles.

Nice quality but lots of aliasing artefacts on lines and grid patterns. This can be solved by using a AviSynth script and VirtualDub. It gets rid of the nervous moving pixels and makes the video much smoother. Its like switching from a 50hz tv to a 100hz tv.

About the same quality as the D5100 I would say. Aliasing issue is also the same. I get amazing results out of my D5100 when filming with the prime lenses 85mm, 50mm and 35mm – all F1.8. The D5200 is better for video because of the manual settings, the D5100 is more automatic in video mode, that’s somewhat of a handicap, nevertheless I get good results.
