Hey, are you familiar with “photo SFX art” (do a Google search for it)? On their website you can watch a good free video demonstrating the right way to shoot fantastic photographs. It made it possible for Daniel to create photos that have that wow-effect whenever you take a look at them. It might work for you as well…

@Jonah White For absolutely no reason. Wanted to test the camera in motion and test the falling effect. :p

If he can fly away at the end… why doesnt he just fly away in the first place.?

Hey there, have you considered “Photo SFXart Tricks” (just do a Google search for it…)? On their website you will find a great free video featuring how to make fantastic photos. It made it possible for Daniel to create photographs which leave you with that jaw-dropping-effect after you look at them. I hope it helps you also.

I am thinking between this and the Panasonic Lumix FZ150. Which one should I get?!!!

@Aroop Bose The shallow depth of field can be achieved with any DSLR. The lenses are what have varying shallow depths of field. For film and photo, I highly recommend a 50mm lense. We got the best shots with it. Check out my latest video, a music video for more great looks.

I loved the film; I liked the way it has been made. I am keen on buying a Nikon D3100 for both still photography and video work and therefore wanted to know more about it. While watching The Briefcase I noticed that the camera allows good depth of field, it seems to be a pretty good camera, the video is amazing.

could have picked a better song..just saying.

@Hurmur It is a nice choice, but going back i would select a canon t3i. very similar but canon seems to accommodate videographers a bit more. Only slightly of course. 60 fps is a great bonus for slow motion and the indie plug in Magic Lantern is awesome.

Sandstorm / Darude meets Agent Smith / Matrix? Very cool. I think I have to dig up my dusting dance mat and copy of ITG now.
So this was all manual focus? I’m thinking of a DSLR for video and photo use but I’m really to new all this camera business, it’s still in the very early stages of even considering buying one. But D3100 seems to be a nice and affordable entry machine. Have you tried it in low lightning, how was it?

@dchiapello Ha, thanks for the comment! We pretty much blew the professionalism with the briefcase falling and me yelling Dammit off camera lol. We u it was funny so I like keeping the laugh since it was just testing out the camera in a semi filmic way. Thanks for watching!

Clever climax, with the guy rocketing upwards. VERY clever follow-up, with the briefcase dropping, and the “Damn it!” But you should edit out the giggle! It blows the professionalism you’re aiming for.

So this video is great, but I’d like to ask, Mystic, are you still happy with your purchase of the D3100 as opposed to Canon T3i competitors or the Nikon D3200 rather?
