When Sports Illustrated photographer Bill Frakes isn’t photographing professional athletes, he heads to the flatlands of America to document life in Nebraska. From rodeo to diner, he captures peoples everyday lives by shooting a combination of still photos and motion picture. See how he creates a multimedia slideshow in Aperture 3 to tell his story.

These are all guesses, but they should be pretty close. 0.06; 85mm 1.2, 0.08; 35mm 1.2; 1.30; 75-200 2.8 IS, 1.32 is a hard one but my guess is somewhere around the 35 to 50 range. If he shoots on a canon they are all the “L” series lenses. The quality of the glass in the lens is what makes these look so sharp and crisp. Hope that helps!

that is a lovely video. great pictures. thanks in advance if you can answer some of my questions – what was the lens in 0.06 to 0.08 and 1.30 to 1.32. ?, the video is very sharp with no pixelation – please let me know what was the size of the upload and what settings you used to upload to youtube please. Thanks again, Sriram

you could always get a Pentax to EOS or Nikon to EOS mount adapter and mount this on a Canon.

This video is fantastic!! Keep making great videos!!
I love this lens! I think I’d get the 40mm/2.0 first, but some day I’d love to own the whole series. If only 58mm/1.4 lens came in a Canon mount.
