Thanks for doin this Review. I have this camera too and really like it but would like to see more reviews on the setting and how to use them. I plan on ordering the extra accesories for it The tripod on Amazon is a great price but the shipping is almost as much as the tripod cost.. Thanks again.

Hello there, are you familiar with “photo SFX art” (just google it)? On their website you will find a smart free video featuring how to shoot outstanding pictures. It made it easier for Matt to create pictures which leave you with a jaw-dropping-effect when you take a look at them. Perhaps it will work for you also…

I do not believe the Powershots have an external audio jack. The internal mic is good on its own. If you want really high quality sound, you’ll just have to go with a nicer camera.

Thank you so much! Great video. Just got my SX40 today for Christmas, and I’m looking to accessorize! Thank you so much for the links! One of the best informative videos I’ve seen on accessories, merely because of the low price, yet good quality. Once again, thanks!

Thanks so much for the information on these items. I was looking for a flash to work with my SX40 but interested in the others as well. Interestingly I recently found my old filters and a lens adapter for similar filters to those you noted. Ah, we’ll see if those old film-SLR days can be re-created in digital form. Happy shooting!

Its only an effect though, so it does not make it super wide angle like a real fish eye lens, but you can get a super wide angle fish eye lens with some 58mm adapters.

I was looking for some lens accessories for my Canon SX40 HS and fortunately, I found your page on UTube. man, u have listed quite a few accessories. I am particularly looking for a Macro lens and a Wide angle lens. Uptil now, I believed that there weren’t any lenses available for a a camera like SX40.
I have recently delved into photography, it has been a passion for long, but did not take it up seriously.
Please suggest, which Macro & Wide Angle lens can I go for.
    Thanks so much !

Fish eye is already incorporated (fish eye effect) and it works great.

Hey, are you familiar with “Photo SFXart Tricks” (google it)? On their website you can watch a nice free video featuring how to take impressive photos. It made it easier for Daniel to shoot photos that leave you with a wow-effect any time you look at them. Hopefully it works for you also.
