the color grading turned what should be black into a gross red-ish color

Great effect! but I think you over did the grading a bit to much and made the contrast to high in doing so. But great effect!
he’s not using a blue filter but you can achieve the same effect by using one. He’s using after effects to grade it.
he just added a blue filter..even a kid can do that 🙂
so tell us how to do it. As everybody says the same, but I didnt find any video which actually explains it 🙂
i find hundreds of videos how to make film look but none of them actually say it. Just showing the results… pfff

the blacks are crushed too much.. other than that it’s just greenish hue

the effect isnt very hard to do…
it depends on what effect is sought – clearly a natural one wasn’t in this case 😉

really, the grading is over done. the grading should not be noticable and distractive, and should look natural. this is nowhere near natural, and its quite distracting…
