My manual mode is shooting pictures with absolutely no light. What may be wrong? The photos are black.

Hey there, have you tried “photo SFX art” (just google it)? On their website you will find a good free video demonstrating the best way to make better photos. This helped Joe to take pictures which have a jaw-dropping-effect whenever you take a look at them. I hope it helps you too…

has spec highlight issue been resolved? many complain about having issues with focusing in Macro mode – any news on that ? Also, looking at some videos from the X10 seems like image stabilization is not that good in comparison to competition, any improvements on the way? thinking of getting the X10 – love its retro looks and nice lens and nice options and menu system. I do have the Sony RX100 which I love also have the OMD5 so needs to be good to compete – look forward to input on improv

Hi, I would “reset” your camera. Go into the setup menu by press menu/ok, then go to the setup tab, and then scroll down until you see “Reset”. This should fix the problem. Also, make sure the lcd display RAW on the upper right hand side to ensure you are shooting in raw.

Orbs shouldn’t be an issue anymore. That has been resolved with the sensor being upgraded.

Generally, Fujifilm cameras have 1 year life span and new replacements are always in development. For higher end cameras, that might not be the case. If you don’t need a camera right now, you can wait until the new year to see which new models are introduced by Fujifilm.

via iPhoto, you should be able to download images from it. As for RAW, yes, i hope to have improved support for Macs . With EXR Sensor, it takes longer for Apple and Adobe to create conversion software to properly read the files. With other brands, they use the typical Bayer filter arrary, so make RAw compatibility is much easier.

Hey there, do you know “Photo SFXart Tricks” (google it)? On their website you can watch a great free video featuring the way to create impressive photos. It made it possible for Daniel to make photos that leave you with a wow-effect whenever you look at them. It may work for you too.

Yes, I am a mac user too, I really like the X10, but its not very connection-friendly with Mac! And the proprietary RAW format is really a pain to use. I hope some solutions can be provided in the future?

Just bought X10 today – great camera. But you can’t connect it to the current generation of Macs. No plug and play – computer does not see it (as it should). And the bundled Fuji software won’t install – completely out of date for current Mac OS and hardware. Any plans for updated software?

Hey! Im considering about getting the X10, but just in case, will there be a new version or successor for X-10? anytime soon? Such as the X-E1 for X-pro 1. It will be sad if I get one and new one is not far away.

Good job Billy. It’s like you made the camera yourself. Still the orbs issue is a deal breaker for me.

As long as you have your Sales Receipt you can send it to the local Fujifilm service centre.

Optical viewfinder does not show any information and focus can not be judged with the OVF as its not a view through the lens.

Hello Fuji Guys!
Thank you so much for the video. I just purchased the x10 and it was very helpful to get to know my camera! I have one question though: I took pictures both in jpeg and raw, but the built in raw-conversion-mode is greyed out in “M”. I cannot choose the RAW-conversion in any camera-mode, always the grey-out. Can you help me?

make sure your lens barrel is set to 28mm. had the same problem but it went away if you put at 28 mm

Yes. Film Simulation mode is offered on the X10 like the X100.
