A tip to change the iso in video mode…
set the timer fn button bellow the flash button to control iso…and you hold it and rotate the dial to change iso

its easy to change them in video just have the camera in manual mode instead of auto…and the camera doesnt change anything…

I had the same issue to fix this…
1. have camera not in live view then set it to manual mode
2. once in manual mode (M on the dial) set shutter to 1/50
3. set the other settings.
4. put in live view and the settings should stay… as long as the camera is in manual mode
if its changing them it means the camera is in auto…

How did you locked the shutter at 1/50? what mode you use please explain the procedure i cant figure it right because in liveview my d5100 seems not to film at 1/50 if i put 1/50 shutter.

Nobody should shoot anything on auto-focus, without a tripod or without an external mic/sound recorder. You’ve not been suckered into anything. DSLR’s are embarrassing the video market because they’re able to produce almost film-like quality images at a fraction of the price of a video camera. Providing you or your operator have taken the time to set them up properly for the shots you need.

Dont fall for these DSLR videos. They all use tripods and cover the sound with some stupid music. That hides the camera shake and the loud autofocus motor which makes DSLR useless for making videos. I got suckered too by these videos.

So nice of you to post a scam/spam link here. Buyer beware, don’t go there, it’ll only fill the spammers pockets with money.

You can but you have to trick the camera. Its just hard to quickly switch between settings.

I understand why you would list the lens in the description as that was one thing I wanted to know but why the shutter speed and ISO? You cant set those on a D5100 in video mode.
When you start shooting video its switches to full auto and there is no way to preset the shutter or ISO for video………

Is it a youtube artifact or problem with the d5100 video? I notice that the motion is jerky even with lower resolution playback so Im thinking its the d5100 video. cant believe why so many people are thinking this quality is good.
