The detail of his face would look great in B&W
I always shoot colour even for black and white, having that extra sensor detail means you can choose how each colour gets converted in lightroom or photoshop, which can give your image a lot more punch than you’d get from just shooting in black and white or just converting it.
whats good about black and white is that you focus more on contrast lighting , art the look of it ….. i always shoot as black and white instead of shooting in color then to black and white but sometimes use color… filters are great for black and white.
