I recognize that the product presentation is a part of any company’s marketing scheme. Yes it would be foolish if presentation alone would be the reason to claim that so-and-so item is good. But in this case I said I like the way this company packages their products. I think it is good to do that, in a marketing perspective.

I just checked D3100’s specs and I think it should be fine! Make sure to select Manual on your camera. :)

Hi, I have to update my reply to your question:
Yes, it’ll fit since it’s the same F-mount. However if you’re inquiring about D60 (I don’t think there’s a D60X… however there *IS* a D40X) I doubt that it’ll work. I have a D40 body and I tried the adapter and the plastic lens just to confirm my guess (D40 and D60 are sibling units) and my D40 gave me a “lens not attached” message. Considering that both units only accept AF-S lenses I’m not sure if it’ll work or not.
