    Oh ok, great, thanks!
I was just asking about the diffuser because I figured you could also use the diffuser for just the natural light.

You’re lucky because you have the model with the inner diffuser. I just got a response from someone at CowboyStudios saying their Speedlite Softboxes only have 1 diffuser and that you might have an earlier version.

Yes…a regular light stand. If using this soft box…it comes with bracket to mount speed light. if you notice the speed light is on the bracket and there is a ring around it…that is the mounting bracket. If you just want to attach a speed light to a stand, you simply need a light stand with a hot shoe adaptor to attach speed light. Regarding other question…why would you want to use the diffuser in soft box without actually using the soft box?

Hi! Thank you so much for posting. I’ve been looking for a video that really shows you how to use a softbox for outdoor portraits. Thanks again.
I was hoping you could tell me something: is the stand you used for the speedlite a regular light stand or is it specifically designed for speedlites. I’m not sure exactly how to attach my speedlite to my stand.
Also is the diffuser in the softbox capable of being used without the rest of the housing for it?

Very good video and well put together. A lot of people should make videos like yours. Showing the soft box, inside the soft box, how to mount it, test shots and examples of the shots taken, and all the products you used. Perfect. Thanks for the awesome review.

there is a mode where you can zoom in before you start recording to make sure you have perfect focus but if the subject is moving you are going to have to manually focus, the auto focus in the camera is noisy and slow and makes mistakes, just takes a bit of learning to get good at it. even in the videos here you will see my skill increases over teh time in japan.

sorry yeah i meant 1080 not 1024 lols. Thanks for your feedback, what about manual focusing, as i hear the focus travel is quite short on the lense so its kinda tricky to continually pull focus or is it not too bad. Am asking you cos you seem to like the cam and actually use one and I am seriously thinking of getting one. I don’t think I will be disappointed.??

short record time? even at full hd it can record for 12 minutes! when are you ever going to record for more than 12 minutes with out changing position or lens???? even music concerts no song will out last the video on the canon. i shoot at both 1080 and 720 if that is what you are meaning… 720 for sports 1080 for low light,

Wow the footage looks so cinema style, Even just point n shooting about you have a fantastic look, the footage is soo sharp where you want it to be, I so want one of those cameras, could you answer: is the short record time a problem, did you originally shoot at 1024 and how hard is it to pull focus on it, am looking to get the standard 18-55mm Canon lense.
