Best settings Picture profile for “Film/Cine look” with Canon HDSLR 5D,7D, 60D, 600D (rebel t3i), 550D (rebel t2i) -Video Mode- Tip & tutorial sharing for the Film makers community. Based on my personal tests and experience. *This is what I found best and quite similar to CineAlta cameras curves & matrix* *Technicolor, M. Bloom & LaForet suggest same settings except for saturation @ -2 while I suggest minimum level for post-production&color grading* *ISO increments of 160 is also a recommended setting. you click the button on the top of your t3i that says iso but try to keep it as low as possible because the higher the iso the more grainy the video. i would never go over 1600

Read the manual… Or better yet, read the single page in the manual that has this information!

Hey, have you heard about “Photo SFXart Tricks” (just search on Google for it …)? On their website you can watch a nice free video showing the best way to create brilliant photographs. It helped Joe to shoot photos that have that wow-effect while you look at them. It might work for you too…

Hit “Menu”, and in the settings look for “Movie Exposure Mode” and switch it to “manual”
Then the ISO button behind your shutter button will bring up the dialogue to change the ISO.

and in case you need assistance changing the shutter speed and aperture in video mode is also simple. To change the shutter speed in video mode.. slimply use the scroller at the top of the camera.. dont push any buttons.. just flick the scroller left or right to increase or decrease the shutter speed in video mode. To change the aperture in video mode.. hold down the AV button while using the scroller.. you will see these the numbers change at the bottom of the LCD screen..

hello i hope this helps you.. to change your ISO in video mode using the T2i.. first switch to video mode.. once in video mode you can change the ISO by clicking the ISO button at the top of the camera.. when you click the ISO button note that the other numbers on the buttom of the LCD screen will disappear.. once they dissapear you have a small amount of time to change the ISO using the scroller.

if your shooting at night.. ensure that that your iso is lower than 1600.. make sure your contrast is set to minimum, shutter speed should be between 1/30 and 1/50 and finally ensure that your apeture is between 1.4 and 1.8.. the lower aperture helps with bokeh

when you’ll go to the store ask for a “class 10 card” – 16gb or 32gb or 64gb depending on your budget..
