MUSCAT INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT:
Muscat International Airport (formerly Seeb Airport) (IATA: MCT, ICAO: OOMS) is the main airport in Muscat, Oman. It is the hub for the national carrier Oman Air. The distance from Old Muscat is 30 km and it is 15km from the main residential localities. At the moment the airport is being expanded and modernized. The airport will be upgraded to 12 million-passenger capacity during the initial stage and subsequently to 48 million. The initial stage is scheduled for completion in 2011. The airport was renamed on 11 February 2008 from the previous name, Seeb, to Muscat International Airport.

Thoughts about Photography…..
There is a difference between looking at photographs–which has become a common cultural practice in connection with reading newspapers–or seeing the image. The latter refers to reconstructing the photograph by exploring the deep structure of the image–which involves the application of practical knowledge and creative insights and relies on the cultural or historical consciousness of the reader. Looking is the visual routine of readers, seeing is the visual practice of the literate. The professional or artistic disposition of photographers reflects a commitment to the image as an expression of ideas or feelings that are beyond words.

This series is part of an ongoing research on visual ways to dissolve pornographic imagery in abstraction and absurd.
For the Scrambled series, using video footage downloaded from Internet, I exploit the artifacts, errors, blurs inherent to heavy digital compression and incomplete files.
Dozens of snapshots are generated. Here, the creative process in itself rely on selecting the right images : identifiable as pornographic, but somehow deactivated.

MONA – Trash Chaos Vessel – OOAK
Mona Lisa, and a tiny handmade clay human head in the bottom of the interior. This is amongst my favorites. The "Trash Chaos Vessel" series are a commentary about society: our over stimulating culture, bombardment of visual "noise" and attention deficits, as well as being graphic, eye catching conversation pieces made from trash usually thrown out in the garbage.
"MONA" measures 5.5" wide by 4.25" wide, and 3.5" deep.

Gee’s Bend: The Architecture of the Quilt, which was on view at the Walters Art Museum from June 15, 2007 – August 26, 2007, featured four generations of quilters and demonstrated how the influences of architecture and the environment appear in the quilters’ visual vocabulary. The rich aesthetic traditions that have evolved in Gee’s Bend, a town of about 750 people on a remote peninsula created by a bend in the Alabama River, and its neighboring community, Rehoboth, can be counted among the most vibrant quilting legacies in America. Continually renewing their designs with a combination of tried-and-true techniques and bold innovation, the artists of Gee’s Bend have improvised upon well-known quilting patterns found elsewhere, such as housetop, bricklayer, medallions, and strip quilting. The Barber Institute of Fine Arts

This is the The Barber Institute of Fine Arts building on the University of Birmingham main campus.
It is listed currently as being on University Road, and no longer Edgbaston Park Road (I would assume that University Road is the road that goes from Edgbaston Park Road into the University grounds proper).
It is a Grade II listed building built between 1935 and 1939, designed by architect Robert Atkinson.
It is an art gallery and concert hall, and is an Art Deco building. It was opened by Queen Mary.
1935 completed 1939, architect Robert Atkinson. Sophisticated design marrying
elements of traditional institutional classicism with Dudok inspired stone
dressed brick modern. A 2 storey compact block with shallow full height portal
wing to right hand of front. Ashlar faced ground floor and blind lst floor of
brick with flat coped roofline. The horizontal emphasis of the strip
fenestration of the ground floor is suavely combined with the vertical accent of
the slightly battered portal. The latter is complemented in small scale by
ashlar panels carved with symbols of the Arts on the first floor and reflected
by the visual stop of the larger panel at the end of return east elevation.
The banding and strip fenestration of the front follows round on to the side and
rear elevations giving a crisp linear definition to the design.
