What color do you see? (3D anaglyph video)

19 Sep

Anaglyph (3D) videos and movies require glasses with lens of 2 different colors to view. Traditionally red/cyan glasses are used for viewing but other color combination’s are also used such as red/green and blue/yellow. When viewed with the red/green glasses the weight shift control aircraft in this video appears to change colors. The red aircraft changes to yellow for many people but green and purple have also been reported. The yellow aircraft may turn red/orange. This is an example of hemispherical dominance and retinal rivalry where each viewers eyes and brain process the visual information differently. In other words everyone sees the world differently. No flight simulator here, so enjoy your own personalized view of the world from a light sport aircraft.

Find 32 more videos at www.AssignmentConstruct.com .Transcript of this video Hi, I’m John Harrington and we’re going to break out and break down the wide variety of equipment we use to deliver images to our clients. Next we are going to show you one of the equipment kits we use when we are traveling on assignment. Each kit is different and has a very specific purpose. So lets take a look. This kit is our Nikon kit. It houses our D3, a D2X; a primary and a backup. We use a 12-24 DX lens, 70-200 2.8, 24-70 2.8, 17-55 DX 2.8, 2X teleconverter. We’ve got a Speedlight SB-800; it’s got the tungsten gel on the front. The reason we use the tungsten gel or a fluorescent gel is to mask the color temperature in the room we’re working in. These are obviously interchangeable, so we can use them depending on the situation we’re in. We use a tungsten or a fluorescent gel. We have extra double A batteries. We have three think tank cardholders. We really like these cardholders because we can hold a large number of cards; and we can put our unused cards at the top and our used cards reversed on the bottom. What we do with our cards when we’re done shooting them is instead of having them in upwards; we have them in upside down. That’s an indicator to us that we’ve shot on the card and this card needs to be downloaded. Underneath, we have 17-35 2.8, and we have a 300 2.8. In addition on the 300 2.8, we have a 1.4 teleconverter as well. So between the 2X teleconverter and the 1.4X

1+1=4D: Stereoscopic Video in Real Time

13 Aug

In 1993, I discovered this technique using two video cameras, two video projectors and two sets of polarized 3D glasses to create live stereoscopic video. The effect is AWESOME! It must be seen to be believed. This video only hints at the possibilities. The cameras could be very small and close together creating a stereoscopic view as if one were miniature in a giant world or very far apart creating a 3D view as if one were a giant in a miniature world. Just imagine! If anyone ever uses the technique I would be thrilled to know about it. I tried to interest the Exploratorium in the idea for possible exhibit development but they passed. With little chance to develop more on my own, I release it to the world. You’re welcome! -Michael Joseph Woody
