    The Nikon Z 14-24mm F2.8 S completes the ‘holy trinity’ of traditional F2.8 zooms for Z-mount. Offering substantial weight and size savings over the previous AF-S 14-24mm F2.8 (and capable of accepting both screw-in and cut gel filters) the new zoom is more practical than its predecessor, but is the higher price reflected in its performance? Take a look at our sample gallery to find out.

    The Nikkor Z 24-50mm F4-6.3 is Nikon’s most compact and affordable ($ 400 MSRP) lens for full-frame Z-mount cameras. It’s also one of two lenses available as a kit with the excellent, entry-level Nikon Z5 body, and collapses down to a mere 51mm (2″) when retracted. While it’s certainly not the fastest glass in town, it is respectably sharp for a modern kit lens. Take a look for yourself.

    The Fujifilm X-S10 is the latest addition to the X-mount family of cameras. It sports a stabilized 26MP X-Trans BSI-CMOS sensor and is capable of producing those lovely JPEG colors we so enjoy. It also features a notably beefy grip and DSLR-esque stylings.

    Note: Images are pre-production and Fujifilm has requested we provide JPEGs only at this time. We’ll publish a full-production gallery as soon as we can!

    The Leica M10 Monochrom takes the M10 body but includes a newly-developed 40MP full-frame sensor, with no color filter array. Like previous Monochrom variants, this makes the M10 M capable of producing stunning ‘true’ black and white images. We’ve been shooting with the new Monochrom for a few days with a mixture of old and new glass. Take a look!

    We first got our hands on a pre-production Nikkor Z 70-200mm F2.8 at CES 2020, in what we’re calling the Before Time. Nikon had planned to start shipping the lens to customers in February, but then some stuff happened, and production was delayed.

    Well, the long wait is over, and in-between the toxic smoke and damp fog of recent weeks here in the Pacific Northwest we’ve been able to take this much-anticipated telezoom for a spin. Take a look.

    Sigma’s all-new 105mm F2.8 macro offers 1:1 reproduction and has been designed from scratch for L-mount and full-frame E-mount mirrorless cameras. Fall weather brings out plenty of detailed subjects for a lens of this kind, and coupled with the 60MP Sony a7R IV, well, let’s just say we’ve seen things we can’t unsee.

    $ (document).ready(function() { SampleGalleryV2({“containerId”:”embeddedSampleGallery_2283835564″,”galleryId”:”2283835564″,”isEmbeddedWidget”:true,”selectedImageIndex”:0,”isMobile”:false}) });

    Macro photography has captured the imagination of many-a photographer looking to get out of a creative slump. It’s an eye-opening experience to see otherwise uninteresting subjects revealed in an entirely new way. Even better, it’s pretty cheap to experiment with macro by picking up some inexpensive macro tubes that will work with your existing gear.

    DPR contributor Chris Foreman recently shared his experience getting back into macro photography, and detailed his unique approach using focus stacking and a motorized slider. Take a look at his images above for some inspiration and get all the details if you want to give it a try yourself.
