One of the weak areas in Sony’s NEX camera line-up, both stills and video, has the need for a high quality wide-angle zoom.
The Sony 10-18mm f/4 E has recently started shipping, and it turns out to be a pretty terrific optic, greatly addding to the overall versatility of the NEX system.

Please let me know what you think of this review! I’m thinking of doing more. I LOVE this lens! It’s my baby. All still shots taken by me with this lens at 10mm. Check my other videos for some more bits of cinematography with this lens, including hitting a pile of rice.
In my latest series of videos I will be reviewing my inexpensive camera equipment. My goal is to prove to people that you can take high quality pictures with inexpensive equipment. These truly are the tools I use in my photography. Everything you see is everything I own and use daily. The Nikon 70-300mm f/4-5.6 G is a fantastic lens for its price. You cannot go wrong with it and I use it almost every shoot.
I am starting a new series giving beginners tips on how to use their DSLRs. In this video: How to attach a lens. Keep in mind that this is on my Rebel T1i, so if you have a different camera, make sure to apply my directions and compare them to your manual so that you don’t break anything.

I take a look at the Nikon AF-S DX 18-300 lens, this lens is an all-in-one zoom designed for the DX format (APS-C). This lens features an optical designed comprised of 19 elements in 14 groups. It is priced at 9.99 USD; while this lens is not as sharp as pro level zooms or primes it does serve as a great all around lens.
