A cover of Bon Iver’s Skinny Love; just the guitar, no vocals (I can’t sing, haha). You can sing whilst you watch it.. Video is from a Nikon D5000. Audio is from my iPhone 4 sitting in front of the Guitar. The guitar is a 30 year old Yamaha FG-375S with D’addario Electric Guitar strings. Apologies for the camera work, I had hoped the first few frets would be clearer in the video. I edited it together using Final Cut Pro. Please rate and comment, Thanks! Video Rating: 4 / 5
DOUBLE TROUBLE!! This is a cover of Khalil’s Singalong Song with a twist! There are 2 Geoff’s in this video! This was a result of experimenting with some doppelganger video effects and was shot by my friend’s amazing Nikon D90 =] It was shot at night time so the video is a little grainy! Hope you guys enjoy it! Remember to like, comment and subs!!

Watch this video on my site for product links, tips and more info: www.lisae.me.uk This make-up look I did on Nicole Richie for the cover of UK InStyle (shot by photographer extraordinaire Lee Broomfield) has been hugely requested since I put the shots on my blog last week. It’s a strong Autumnal look with fierce eye make-up that I thought worked really well on Nicole’s big eyes. My eyes are a completely different shape to Nicole’s but hopefully this tutorial demonstrates how the eye-make can be adapted to suit different eye shapes. The plum colour and glittery-ness of the look increases with flash photography. Have fun! x

Camera Repair Technician repairing a Nikon D40x. The part that controls the aperture and shutter had failed causing an error. This part was replaced and electrical adjustments and cleaning were performed. All functions were returned to factory specifications. ——————————————— Do NOT follow others advice of spraying WD40 inside the motor’s gear ass’y. Doing so will likely cause more damage to other parts and only increase the cost of repair. It does not FIX the problem. At best it will only temporarily allow the camera to function. At worse you will cause damage that costs more to repair than to replace the camera. Recorded at 20 x speed. DISCLAIMER: Do NOT attempt to repair camera equipment without proper training and equipment. Cameras and Flashes contain high voltages (300v +). Proper care should be taken to prevent injury or even death. Audio Credit: author: checkmate3001 (myself) song: “One Lost Mexican” Video Rating: 4 / 5

Poynter.org has published an interesting article examining how photographer Iwan Baan took his striking post-Sandy picture of Manhattan, which is currently gracing the cover of New York Magazine. According to the article, Baan took his photograph of Manhattan – which is half blacked-out due to the destructive effects of Hurricane Sandy – from the open door of a helicopter hovering at 5000 feet above New York. He went up on the night of Wednesday 31st October, when limited air traffic made it possible to hover for longer – and higher – than would normally be allowed over a major city. Click through to see the resulting image, and for more details of how Baan got the shot.
