This is a simple product unboxing/review/test of the Yongnuo RF-603 N3 2.4GHz Wireless Flash Trigger/Wireless Shutter Release Transceiver Kit. This is the Nikon version they do make them for Canon. *****Update***** I just got a set of the Yongnuo RF-603 N1 that is for the Nikon pro line up to see if the transceiver where the same and work as only flash triggers for additional flashes and yes they are the same. So if you are looking for ONLY the flash trigger part the N1 version will work as well. (all of the Yongnuo RF-603 will work the on what ever camera you need them to the only difference in the version is the cable for the Wireless Shutter Release) I also tested the flash trigger with my old D70 and it works perfectly as well it even works at 500/sec sync speed that it is capable of. We’ve been one of the first publications to get a chance to handle Nikon’s AF-S Nikkor 70-200mm f/4G ED VR. The example we used is officially pre-production, so we weren’t able to shoot samples with it, but it had the build and handling of a finished model, so we were able to form some initial impressions of this long hoped-for F4 tele-zoom lens.

Nikon launches 70-200mm F4 VR tele-zoom with claimed 5-stop stabilization

Nikon has launched the much-rumored Nikkor 70-200mm F4G ED VR a lighter and more affordable tele-zoom with a claimed 5 stops of image stabilization. This is delivered by what the company terms ‘third-generation VR,’ which we’re told is not a successor to VRII. The lens joins Nikon’s range of constant-F4 lenses, alongside the 16-35mm F4 and 24-120mm F4 and includes both nano crystal coating and a ring-type AF-S motor to give full-time manual focus override. At $ 1400 the lens is priced relatively closely to the Canon equivalent’s list price – as is the $ 224 optional tripod ring.

Kenko-Tokina exhibits mockup of image-stabilised 70-200mm F4 at CP+

Kenko-Tokina will exhibit a mockup of a 70-200mm F4 telephoto zoom that features both a ring-type ultrasonic autofocus motor and optical image stabilization at the CP+ trade show in Japan. The AT-X Pro SD 70-200 F4 (IF) FX will be the company’s first stabilized lens, and will likely be especially interesting to Nikon SLR users who currently have no option that’s directly comparable to Canon’s popular and highly-regarded 70-200mm F4 designs. Further details are limited, but the lens appears to feature both internal zoom and focus mechanisms, and has a usefully-close minimum focus distance of 1m. (via Megapixel.il)

Nikon 70-200mm VR Lens Review & comparison against Nikon 18-200vr

Here is a video review of the very expensive nikon 70-200vr lens (about £1300). I have also done some comparisons against the nikon 18-200vr lens (about £600) Lens is rented from Calumet. Their website is www.calumetphoto.com and their store in edinburgh is on Bonnington road (near leith) the rental charge was just under 50 pounds for a day but also for a weekend as long as it is handed back by 10am on monday www.dombower.com

Sigma releases 70-200mm F2.8 OS for Nikon

Sigma has announced its 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM image-stabilised fast telezoom is now available in Nikon F mount. Previously available in Canon EF mount, the Nikon version is priced at ,470. The lens features a new optical design that uses two elements made of the company’s recently developed ‘FLD’ glass plus three SLD glass elements to reduce aberrations, a 9-blade circular aperture, and features full-time manual focus override. It also comes with an adapter for APS-C users.
