Sometimes I have trouble abiding silence, I want to fill it with words. I used to daydream, when I was younger, before teachers at school would shame me for it, over and over again… so now I talk, to feel comfortable. One of the bad things about our schools… they force people like me to conform or reject. I did both, simultaneously. But it was painful at times.
Kianna, and people like here, are slowly showing me that it’s ok to be quiet.
She’s reminding all of us about something we used to know. It’s important to daydream, maybe even more important than long division.
