I got the f/3.5 over the f/4.5. There was a huge price difference for me though: f/3.5 cost near $800! I think f/4.5-f/5.6 was near $500? Gah, I’m unsure if I should return it and get the other one….but a lower f is still better than 4.5-5.6, right? From my understanding it is… And I do want to do night photography..

So this lens wont work on bodies that dont have crop factors of 1.3, 1.6 , 1.5, etc? so will this lens work on a 5d?

I chose the Tamron 10-24mm over this after I tried out the aperture in the local photo store!
maybe I chose wrong, the autofocus on the Tamron is pretty slow which means it chases at least 3-4 times back and forth before deciding on taking the picture!!!!!
Getting a D7000 later this year!
open ure aperture to about 5.6 or even maybe higher, crank up you’re ISO to 3200 if you can, done

Depends on your budget, canon lenses will always have better quality, but some people don’t care that much.
I use Canon 500D and I’m deciding between Sigma 10-22mm f/3.5 that you review and Canon 10-22 f/3.5-5.6.

The 10-20 F4-5.6 doesn’t for Nikon. Glad to see this one does.
Just saying, but: an 18mm standard lens on a camera body with a 1.6 crop factor becomes a 28.8 (29) mm lens whereas a 10mm lens becomes a 16mm lens. thats quite a difference.
