Professional photographer and X-Rite Coloratti Rick Sammon talks about his HDR process, including how he uses the X-Rite ColorMunki
Chris Weeks has been sharing a whole lot of stuff with us, and mainly what he uses for assignments and now, video integration. In this segment, he shows a very simple, but potent street photography bag, and what he takes when capturing the human condition as he finds it. More photo goodness at photoinduced.com

Nice Video Rick !
Awesome video. What really makes it authentic is that you were also at Woodstock, dancing naked in the mud.
Thanks for sharing this Rick and I can’t wait to see you in Oregon!
If you’ve never taken a course from Rick you are missing a GREAT time!

Glad you enjoy ColorMunki Photo and very happy you enjoyed the video! Thanks for all your comments.
Terrific video Rick! I also use Color Munki to calibrate my monitor, and it helps a lot! For my Epson, I use the profiles that they provide for their paper. Seems to work best, but for other papers that I don’t have profiles for, the calibration works great!
This guy is great. Reminds me of Mr. Rodgers when I was a kid. So warm and nice. But now I’m an adult and love photography. So glad a found this Rick Sammon guy. He truly rocks!!! Thx

For those people who haven’t seen his work, look him up on deviantArt: cweeks. He’s got really good photos.
LOVE the gear
I want that bag, soooo bad
fucking hell, chillax man
It was a light-hearted joke, not to be taken on a technical level, comparing film and flash media on the level that they’re both the _consumables_ that the camera uses.
Leica Mp, the wet dream.
@nofatchicks30 jealous… only couse u cant afford it
You clean a Leica lens with your shirt!….You fucking dickhead!….Why not use a piece of sandpaper…….And you’re a professional..? Piss off!
1:12- Uhmmm… since when did SD cards replaced film? Mr. Weeks, SD or memory cards are storage. The one that replaces the film in digital cameras are called Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor aka CMOS. Just like Charge-Coupled Device aka CCD.
Get your facts straight please.
Gay?
The bag is a Domke F-803, got the same one for my Leica kit. Very understated bag and it looks cool!

So jealous of your photo gear! You have the gear-set of my dreams.
Wow! thanks for the kind words.
We have many more planned, and sometimes it just catching up with the working pros to make it happen.
Busy folks.
We will have a bunch of new vids coming from Photoplus Expo 2009, starting next week, showcasing a lot of the new gear out there.
Cheers!
Mr. Webster, your “What’s in the Bag” series is fascinating! I just spent a Sunday evening enjoying your *all* videos. Thanks for sharing a slice of the pro photog’s life. As a gear junkie, it doesn’t get better than this. It allows the amateur/enthusiast to get a better idea of what works…directly from the mind (and bag) of working pro. Thank you!
