Photographically it was a major challenge as the lighting level was exceptionally low and there was not time to stop and take photos. I`ve got a question, too… I`m thinking about changing from the Pentax K20D to the Canon 5D MK II… Is the Canon the right one or would there be any better… I want to use it primarily as a portrait and landscape camera but also don`t want to spend too much money…
Here in Germany it`s about 2600€ (about £2160) with the 24-70 f2.8 lens and I think that price is O.K. for that camera.
Anyways I`m open for other full frame cameras.

Hi gavin, a quick question. how did you mange to get sharp images from a very low shutter speed and also having set the ISO level at 6400, did your images come out grainy? how did you overcome this?

Would you say that the IS was more beneficial to less blurry images than if you had taken the 24-70 2.8 L ?

What were you using for focus if it was so dark?
Very nice photos! I went to the tunnels under Toronto’s Casa Loma (I didn’t know they existed) and it was a similar atmosphere. Dark, cold, and most of all, very hard to take good photos because of the lighting.

ISO 6400, if you look at the pictures in the video.. You see exactly what aperture, shutter speed and ISO. 🙂
