Wellll…it’s a nice old camera (congratulations on your find,) but it’s not quite as venerable as you think. The Ansco Flash Clipper dates to the years immediately after WW II (late 1940’s-early 50’s.) Flashbulbs hadn’t been invented yet in 1910; photographers in those days had to set off an explosion of “flash powder” (powdered magnesium) to get their shot…and missing fingers were a common injury among camera men back then! “The good old days weren’t always good,” as Billy Joel said.
Haha, I presume they’re flash sync hotshoes, but as you can see in the video; the attached flash gun isn’t connected to them.
Very cool! I’m guessing those two weird terminals on the front are for a flashbulb head or some other alien nonsense?
the picture with the shooting star is a 30 second exposure with if i remember correctly ISO 1600, the spinning stars was shot at ISO 100 with a 15min long exposure 🙂
