Sorry, it was a typo, I have a Canon Powershot SX20…still can’t find anywhere to enable this camera to be used as a webcam/remote viewing camera. I need it to be able to be used as a live video feed for a streaming webcast.

Your model wont work but that doesnt mean it should shut down when u connect the cable…how do u transfer photos then? something is wrong with either ur pc or cam..
