    I’ve been aching to start this type of photography for a little while now with a view to buying this kit. Question: Do you have to have the additional filter you purchased to achieve the 5 second exposures or will the grads do it?

    this was i was looking for! when i first saw those long exposure shots i was like “wth how do they do that?!” im passioned about long exposures and im really into cokin filters to start shooting looong, this video helped me a lot, thanks m8 😉

    No prob, an 8 stop filter would have to be around ND256. Just hope it may help, if you are compensating for an ND8 filter by 8 stops it will probably mean the picture will be overexposed by around 5 stops.

    Hey I dont think an ND8 is an actual 8 stop filter, it only gives 3 stops, an ND4 is 2 stops and an ND2 is a 1 stop. A 10 stop filter is ND1024.
