ps – in all seriousness, brilliant to use the turntable method to compare codecs. Motion, repeatability, light variation, it’s all there.

Will you get the same results using a box of Verbatim 3.5″ floppies? How can you call this a thorough test using just one brand?

    😉

I thought 3x was impossible to record at, what is the highest you were able to record at consistently?

Dear unholydevil2! I think it’s a ‘bad’ compression – details vanished due to the higher compression ratio…

hi, i’m using a 16 GB SanDisk Extreme Pro 45MB/s UHS-I Memory Card, but i
could ca. 30 seconds to record at extremely high bitrates… recording stops
    over 70 Mbit/s

What card are you using? I can’t get exceed CBR 1.4 without overflowing the buffer.
