Gimp Tutorial (3D effect, coming out of tv) by Dom Bwer

Blog www.dombowerphoto.blogspot.com In this video i show you how to work a bit more with layers. using 3 photos taken in my livingroom then with a bit of cutting and pasting i then make it look like i am coming or reaching out of the tv. the software used is free GIMP and it is just like adobe photoshop but…. free. hope this helps regards dom bower www.dombower.com

    im sorry but i find it much easier that if i take the eraser tool, leave the part coming out of the tv, and erase the rest of your body. for me that would be so much faster and productive because it would still give the same result

    also try, right click add alpha channel (no idea what that means) and then click delete or cut, and presto you have checkard

    two things, use cut, not delete, and use layer mask

    Ok when i delete it goes to a white creen now the background checker and doesnt work the same.

    yes and remember this was fairly basic and done at speed to keep within the youtube time limits. with a whole evening i am sure you could make something really cool. start out simple and progress from there.
