Thousands of producs are improved by rivals so people will discover other faces of the same feature/product.

    Man has a point

if you are a photographer maybe we can be friends. but not fuckheads. not very nice. Marketshare ? I just said my opinion so it’s just an opinion. One of my cameras is a nikon F5. But I think the 1D series are beter looking , better concived , better in my hand that nikon, the red color suits me better and i am a canon fan. Thousands of producs are improved by rivals so people will discover other faces of the same feature/product. Chilldown and don’t shout nikon on a canon description movie…

these days noobs are clearly noobs….. if you can shoot blind with no exposure meter. no auto focus and no shooting aids then you can call yourself a photographer….. if you get paid and it helps you clear up the bills then and ONLY then can you call yourself a professional or as i say a working photographer in my own case… i’ve been shooting professionally as others would put it for several years and i’m sick of this shit… politeness didn’t get me to where i am now

first of all i’m not your friend… secondly the electro optical system was developed long after nikon developed their own for the F3AF.. the F3AF’s electronic focus lenses predate any EOS camera
and on another note. i suggest you look at the professional market look at the market share…..
Nikon has over 75% of the market in the past 4 years and before the EOS 1D/1Ds nikon had over 80% of the market share in 35mm…. THAT is not listed on wikipedia fuckhead

you read to much wikipedia my friend. EOS is the electonic mount but befour that was that was FD and way before there ware canon cameras competing not just with nikon but with the world best camera manufactures.

@bomberfun1 Mark 2, 3 , 4 don’t need any marketing. Whan you have on your neckstrap the red Canon name you will now that part of that is shooting a footbal game in Barcelona with 10fps, part of that is shooting a photoshoot in Milan on the catwalk , part of that is of the plains of Masai Mara taking pictures of the most beautiful animals in the world and without breaking down , with the perfect timing , the perfect sound and the perfect render of image in split of a second. Thats marketing…

im just pointing out , that dont call anybody on names like ignorant or noobs etc,,,,,,, we started photography at first as a noob , until we learn acquire the skills within us , its not appropriate to say something like that especially if you are a professional , just be polite and friendly on answering the question of some users here…

yes you can have the best camera and not have the skill, but that is only at the amateur level. you acquire the title “professional” by 1. shooting for a living, and 2. showing your skill is beyond that of being competent.

when you are truly at that stage your camera matters.
if you just want to take snaps who cares anything does the job. hell i walk around with a $200 P&S aswell as a few film cameras for everyday stuff, but for work THE BEST is what is needed

    February 1, 2013 at 7:53 am

lol okay. i guess that is why canon’s international market share is lower than nikon’s?…

when you are at a level when basic skill is no longer needed. you need the technicalities of a camera.
    i shoot with a Mamiya 645DF and a few nikons (D700/D3X/D80)
i also previously owned canon gear myself (a 1Ds mk3 and 5D mk1) believe me. this is not the film days anymore where your camera doesn’t mean squat. in this day and age. your camera is just as important as your skill

you know if your saying some are ignorant or a noob , get a mirror and see your self cause you sound like somebody, its like you know everything , its not just brand that counts either canon or nikon etc… will do its up to the users taste and skills the passion for photography
as this term says “It’s the Indian not the Pana” pana is a bow and arrow , even if your camera is the most expensive and the most advance , but still you don’t have the skills its worthless…

    LOL EOS since 1987…….
Nikon has been the industry leader in the 35mm format since 1959. so before all you canon fanboys start flaming nikon DO YOUR MOTHER FUCKING REASEARCH!

CANON DID NOT GET THE RECOGNITION IT HAS TODAY UNTIL 2001!!!!
prior to that. all pro’s used Nikon, Pentax and Leica for 35mm!!!!

if you disagree to this you clearly are an ignorant noob

    February 1, 2013 at 9:33 am

    uhh……… no do your research
Nikon DEVELOPS their sensors. yes some are sony based. it doesn’t “buy” it gets them made and they optimize it. the Nikon D3100 sensor i purely nikon developed, so are the Nikon FX sensors (the 24mp D3X sensor is a joint design with sony, although it’s majorly nikon’s design) nikon has been developing sensors for far longe rthan canon….. only a knowledgable photographer would know that……. Nikon afterall HAS been the pro choice since 1959

don’t hate the brands everyone. love the passion… photography.
it is not whether you use Nikon, Canon, Sigma, Olympus, etc… it is how you maximize its potential to develop our skills and show how wonderful and beautiful is our world. peace!
