Hasselblad H4D-200MS offers 200 megapixel multi-shot images

30 May

Hasselblad has announced a camera capable of producing 200MP images based on shifting its 50MP sensor. The H4D-200MS uses an extension of the company’s sensor-shift, multi-shot (MS) technology to create a 200 megapixel file from six images taken at slight offsets. It can also use the four-shot mode used by the H4D-50MS that shifts the sensor by one pixel in each direction to capture all colors at each position. The latest approach adds 1/2pixel offsets to increase the captured resolution to 200MP. The H4D-200MS is available for €32,000 or as a €7,000 factory-return upgrade for H4D-50MS owners.

Friday Freebie: Memorial Day Flag

29 May

This Weeks Friday Freebie iPad Wallpaper: Memorial Day Flag
Friday Freebie features an image to liven up your iPad display with images from my travels… all for free.

Today’s photo is not my typical iPad wallpaper photo. This coming Monday is Memorial Day and I thought I’d share a photo that fit the holiday. My sister in-law is overseas at the moment in Afghanistan serving with the U.S. Air Force and like many other families who worry about their relatives serving in the military we worry about her a lot.  While our immediate attention focuses on her well being we never lose sight of the countless soldiers that have fallen in the line of duty to protect the United States. To all past & current serving U.S. military, Thank You. To all who have lost a loved one in the line of duty my condolences for the ultimate sacrifice your family member has made.

Click here to download your free iPad wallpaper. Have a great weekend!

The aim of the 3 Saints Mosaic project was to design and create a mosaic that represented the views and feelings of the residents of the hostel and, in so doing, address issues of social isolation, confidence and motivation.

The sessions took an informal approach to creative learning which helped put the clients at ease and facilitated free and open discussions about the experiences of the many residents and the issues they have faced. The mosaic they created was a phoenix rising from the flames dedicated to the memory of a fellow resident who had sadly passed away.

Simple Photoshop Makeover of Avril Lavigne

28 May

Hit that yellow button up there and I’ll love you forever ^^ **I DO NOT OWN MUSIC** I found this picture on www.sweetandtalented.com (great place for celeb pictures) and I decided to photoshop it. There wasn’t much I could do, considering Avril is already really pretty and she was already photoshopped anyway (most celeb pics are, you can never find the raw files), so I just did what I could and that was that. My photoshop was going really slow and I was worried it might come out slow, but thankfully it didn’t. I did this in Adobe Photoshop CS4, used Hypercam2 to record it and Windows Movie Maker for editing. Any other questions just hit me with a comment. Music is “I Can Do Better” by Avril Lavigne. If you’re gonna criticise, make it constructive. Comment/Rate/Fave/Sub (:

Because Im A Girl English Version $ Subtitles Touching Love Story

28 May

KISS BECAUSE IM A GIRL english version : KOREAN DRAMA # The movie clip was so popular, that many versions of the song were produced, in many languages, as english, mandarin, cantonese, and even tagalog ! Story: # The story begins with the scene of a photographer who was taking a picture for an automobile magazine. He accidentaly took a picture of a girl who was walking across right in front of his camera. She excused politely and went away. One day, the photographer went to a salon which by accident was the the place where the girl worked at. He left his bini in the salon by accident, leaving the girl a chance to come by his workplace to return it. So she came to his studio and returned his bini. # But before she left, he made her pose as a model. They found out that they shared a same passion. He was a professional photographer and she was a girl who dreamed to be a model. They became close and spent a lot of time together. He took a lot of pictures of her and published them. One day, an accident happened while she was trying to get something from a high rack in his studio. An unlid bottle of photographic product fell and spilled on her. She was immediately taken to a hospital. The chemical of the photographic product was so toxic, it damaged her eyes so bad that she was about to never be able to see again. # A miracle happened, after a while being taken care in the hospital, the doctors took off the bandages on her eyes. She opened her eyes and saw the photographer’s co

The xx – Islands (Nosaj Thing Remix)

28 May

The spare and smoldering electro/guitar bits comprised by the xx LP are ripe for remix reduction, the latest coming from 23-year-old LA producer Jason Chung aka Nosaj Thing. His take on the best new artist of 2009’s “Islands” comes on the heels of a redo for Chalotte Gainsbourg (Radiohead and hometown brethren Flying Lotus before that), pitting its native vocals inside trip-hopped, stereoscopic synths and trickly beats, locating the xx’s “Islands” somewhere between Bristol and Flying Lotus’s Los Angeles. Stereogum.com NOTE: This is the real version, previous versions were leaks and rough cuts. Download drop.io

Just Posted: Our review of the Sony DSLR-A580

28 May

Just Posted: Our review of the Sony DSLR A580. With all the progress Sony has been making with its mirrorless and ‘translucent’ mirror technologies, it’s easy to overlook the company’s continued development of its two-sensor liveview DSLRs. The A580 is the latest (and possibly last?) in a line that started with the promising but quirky A350. The A550 was a big step forwards for these feature-packed enthusiast DSLRs and the A580 takes this progress further with the addition of Sony’s excellent 16MP sensor. Offering all the usual Sony processing cleverness – such as sweep panorama, in-camera HDR and multi-shot noise reduction – the only apparent cloud in its sky is the existence of the less expensive, full-time liveview sister model, the SLT A55. So, with an in-house competitor threatening to steal the A580’s liveview crown, can its more conventional DSLR design offer the best of both worlds?
